Understanding the HUD (Heads Up Display)

Please note: you can customise the elements shown in Settings > Gameplay > HUD

  1. Standings

Here you can see your position in your class, all other classes are excluded here. You are also able to see the name, manufacturer, car number and vital information about your competitors such as their tyres and the amount of virtual energy they have left.

  2. Radar

The radar will help you understand how close other competitors are. Use this to avoid contact.

  3. Sector Timing

This will give you performance information such as the lap number, your last lap, your best lap and your current lap. Sectors (S1,S2,S3) will light up green if you've completed your personal best sector, purple if you're the fastest driver in that sector and yellow if it is neither.

Underneath sectors is your lap delta, this is comparing your current lap to your best and it will go green if you are doing better than before and red if you are doing worse. Note: you can bind a button to "reset delta target lap time" which will delete your best lap in the delta memory.

  4. MFD (Multi-Function Display)

This contains some interesting information on your car and opponents. Please see the separate MFD guide.

  5. Speedo

Multiple important pieces of information are shown here.

There are three "LEDs" at the top of the speed that light up when it is time to change up gear

The large number is the gear you are currently in

Speed is displayed below this (kph or mph can be customised in the gameplay settings)

On the right you can see the battery information for cars with hybrid powertrains. The blue bar shows the level of battery available. The battery will be blue when deploying and green when charging.

The red and green bars on the left of the speedo are the throttle and brake inputs that are currently active.

Outside of the speedo on the left are key information on the car's health including any damage (yellow light, orange medium, red heavy and flashing = missing component) as well as oil and water temperatures

Fuel and Virtual Energy levels are displayed at the bottom

  6. Virtual Mirror

You can turn this on and off in the gameplay menu
