Choosing the Season
Firstly, you need to choose which year you want to run. Each season has different cars (and opponents) available but you can customise them later.
Selecting the Circuit and Your Car
"Championship" refers to all the tracks in that year but "all" can be selected on the filter to show everything that Le Mans Ultimate offers. If you select a track not raced in that year, you will still get a grid from that year on that track.
When choosing your car, you can select the category then manufacturer before selecting the team/specific car. Finally, there are livery options for some cars available on the right hand side.
Basic Setup
The following page will allow you to quickly configure your race.
You can toggle which sessions you want to run, the length of them and consider which classes you want to be running.
In Seasons where a particular car class doesn't run, you can use the "Fill Grid" option to replace the season defaults with a selection of cars from that class
At the bottom important rules can be quickly configured:
- Rules - How strict track limits are measured
- Fuel Usage - You can set this to be faster to change the strategic options available (or off to remove it)
- Tyre Wear - Same as above
- Tyre Warmers - FIA WEC does not use heated tyres by default and can be hard to drive, especially for beginners. You can turn this on to make your first few laps a bit easier.
- Available tyres - Limited tyres is a feature of endurance racing in the World Endurance Championship
