Co-op events are time limited. They're only available for a set period of time so make sure before you start that you have enough time to complete them with a teammate. Once they're gone, they're gone.
Please note: you will all need a RaceControl account to participate even though this mode uses offline racing as RaceControl powers the transfer of information
SIgning up a team
Once you've chosen an event, and the car you want to drive its time to invite your friends. You and they will need to have set their steam friends list to public or they won't appear in the list.
Additionally, when signing up for a race, don't forget to check if your friend has any required DLC.
You can invite one or two friends to a co-op race.
Please note: Teams only exist for a single event, unlike the Teams created for online multiplayer. You can call your team name whatever you like provided it is not offensive or infringes on any rights.
Earning Points
Your gameplay settings are important for earning Co-op points for the Co-op leaderboard. Here are some things that will increase it:
- The difficulty of your AI opponents
- Having assists off earns you a bonus
- Completing and finishing highly in qualifying
- Your position every lap
- Overtaking opponents
- Your position at the end of the race
- Fastest lap/sectors by the end of the race
You'll also lose points for:
- Collisions
- Damaging your car
- Receiving penalties
- Being overtaken
Handing Over Control
At the end of a stint the game will pause in the pitlane and from here you can continue or you can hand over control to a teammate.
On this page, you can select fuel/tyres and whether to repair the car. If you select "Driver Swap" those elements can be adjusted by the incoming driver.
Once you've selected who you are switching to, you'll be returned to the main menu and your team mate will have the opportunity to drive when they are available.
